Here’s a fun project that’s even great for a rainy day – let the kids make their own sidewalk chalk in their favorite colors and they’ll be ready to go on the next bright & shiny day! This is what you’ll need:
1 cup Plaster of Paris
4 tablespoons water
Liquid Food Color
Chocolate molds, cookie cutters or cardboard toilet paper tubes
Mix the top two ingredients together along with a few drops of liquid food color until they form a thick paste like consistency. Poor the mixture into the molds or cookie cutters, or use toilet paper roll tubes if you’d like to make really big sticks of chalk. Simply use rubber bands with plastic wrap to secure the open ends of the tube.
