Scrumptious Butter Pecan Pound Cake Recipe

Butter Pecan Pound Cake

When it starts getting cool outside I really get into the mood to do some baking! While the holidays are great inspiration, it’s never to early to bake up one of these Butter Pecan Pound cakes. The cake itself is rich and moist and the addition of the pecans really sets off the flavor, as does the orange juice in the glaze. Being from the south I absolutely love pecan recipes this butter pecan cake is divine.

Fancy enough for entertaining, my family loves this butter pecan pound cake for any occasion, like days that end with Y.  Plus momma loves any excuse to use my favorite KitchenAid stand mixer!

  1. This looks DELICIOUS!!!

  2. I was lucky that I did not follow the part of the recipe that called for a loaf pan. When I finished mixing the cake, there was so much batter that I used a tube pan and the cake rose almost to the top! Think someone needs to take a second look at this.
I will say the flavor was good though. Nice and buttery tasting and smelled great!

  3. Thanks so much Carol! I definitely will take a look at that 🙂

Do you ever have a hard time getting it out of the pan? I know I’ve made this 5 or 6 times and every time it is so hard to get it out. Any suggestions?

  5. I really like to use Pam baking spray that has flour in it, but you could also just grease the pans well then put a teaspoon of flour in and shake it around to coat the sides. Sure hope this helps!
