  1. You did Great as usual!! I need to redo my list it is up to $70 after coupons and I need to spend less.. Ps You are soo lucky your Publix sales start on Wed… I love those whole fruits!!!!

  2. I was wondering if you could freeze cheese. Can you also freeze cream cheese bars and slices of cheese?

  3. I’ve always had best results with freezing shredded cheese, although you CAN freeze the bars, I shred it first when i buy the bars and freeze it that way, then just take out what I need each time. I’ve tried freezing cream cheese and it has never worked for me, not even for a short time, it separates and looks yucky.

  4. Hello, I am brand new to your site. I read your fantastic article over at I Heart Publix and followed a link to here 🙂 I hope it’s okay if I ask you two questions~if you have a chance to answer, but I know you are super busy.

When you freeze the shredded cheese, do you just leave it in the package? If so, does it “clump together” when you thaw it? How’s the texture after it’s thawed, any difference at all?

On your coupon list that you used for your shopping trip, what is a “Rolling” coupon that you referred to for the Shedds Country Crock and the $5/5 Kraft Cheese?

    Thanks so much!

  5. Thanks Denise I will have to hurry out to get my shredded cheese and try to freeze it for the first time ever. Your tips really help me out. Keep up the good work your site helps me through the day.

  6. Hey Donna! I LOVE questions 🙂 I actually never realized you could freeze cheese until I found out that my favorite local pizza place stores theirs in the freezer and they just take out a bowl full at a time. I’ve been freezing it shredded ever since and have great results with it, you don’t even need to thaw it if you’re cooking with it or melting it anyway.

When you see “rolling” next to a coupon it means that the expiration date will be different depending upon the day you print it, for instance if its a two week expiration, the exp date will “roll” or change so that it is two weeks from the date you print it. Hope this helps and that you’ll visit again 🙂

  7. Wow! Thanks so much for sharing. I can’t wait to go tomorrow.

  8. nicely done! i can never get cheese that cheap! 🙁
