My 9/12 Walgreens Trip – $83.55 for $17.44 or 79% Off

I had a bunch of RR left from the Estroven deal a couple of weeks ago that expired today so I was looking for a great deal to use them up on and I was super happy to find out about the $3 RR bonus deal on Gain from my bloggy friend Christie at Wild For Wags!  She just came out with an update on an even better Gain deal since I got home, so I may have to hit Walgreens again this week 😉  I won the coupon for a free bag of Reese’s awhile back in an instant win sweepstakes and I’ve been hanging onto it until I could match it with a store coupon somewhere to turn it into a money maker.  I’ve said here more than once that I would never pay for toothpaste, but I’ve been having some sensitivity issues with my teeth and I’m really digging the Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief so I’m more than happy to pay $0.49 to stock up on that!  Today I bought $83.55 worth of stuff for $17.44, or 79% off.  Since I used $24.50 RR to pay, I actually came out ahead overall.  Here are the deals:

  1. You purchased liquid Gain but the coupon you list is for powdered Gain?

  2. Hey Jessica – I just tried to double check that coupon because I thought it actually said ‘detergent, any’ on it but I used them all so I couldn’t 🙁 I actually tried to buy the powder kind but my store was already out. The people there are really cool so they may have pushed the coupon through since they looked for the powder kind for me and couldn’t find any. Do you know if the q says ‘powder’ on it? I don’t condone using qs for the wrong thing and don’t want to promote that if I did it accidentally. Thanks very much for letting me know!

  3. The coupon states “one Tide or Gain powder detergent” as you have it listed under coupons used.

  4. Thank you Jessica! I’ll make a note above so people will know what happened 🙂

  5. Wow, I totally missed this Gain deal. Bummer!

  6. They ran out really fast anyway Anne so don’t feel bad. But it’s that time of year – I think we’ll be seeing more deals like this soon 🙂
