My 3/30 Publix Trip – $144.79 for $35.52 or 75% Off

Well the cats really racked up today, but I don’t plan to tell them that we were actually paid to buy the treats and cans of cat food 😉 Of course the overage just went to offset the price of the cat litter and four bags of cat food.  Hubby is happy with the hummus and tea, kids will be happy with the ravioli and cereal, and I’m thrilled with the cheap bananas and eggs and free milk!  Today we bought $144.79 worth of groceries for $35.52, or 75% off.  I used a $5/$55 catalina from Winn Dixie, hubby used a $4/$20 from CVS and we each used a $10 RR from Walgreens to pay.  Even better yet – I used a $25 rebate card from Office Depot so we ended up out of pocket only $10.52!  Here are the deals:

  1. Great trip, as always! 😉
Just wanted to let you know that there is a Cheetos q in the Target website and Chef Boyardee q in the website!

  2. What an AWESOME trip! And Lynette, thanks for the heads up on the Chef Boyardee q — can’t use target coupons at the commissary, but I’ll sure be using the Chef Boyardee!!!

  3. Yay – thanks a bunch Lynette! I can always use more of the Chef Boyardee 🙂 it was almost painful today to buy them without a coupon!

  4. How were you able to use an Office Depot rebate at Publix?

  5. Sorry Jamie – I should have been more specific, I used a $25 AmEx gift card that I earned as a rebate for buying software from Office Depot.

  6. The Party treat cat treats coupon in the coupon book for pets is for the llarger 6 oz size. So why post it as free and a money maker?

  7. You’re right Pat – the q in the Publix booklet IS for 6 oz and up so I’ve removed it from the list above, thanks for pointing that out! Thank goodness the printable Publix q I used (at the top of the list above) is good for $1 off 2.1 to 32-oz packages so my money making deal on the Party Treats was a good one. BTW – there were LOTS of packages at my store with the peelies on them for the free cans so that was an extra bonus for me 🙂

  8. You’ve gotta love saving so much cash! Just goes to show how overinflated grocery prices are 🙁
