My 2/1 Publix Trip – $77.41 for $20.77 or 73% Off

Since we keep the freezer and the stockpile pretty full we often have trips to the grocery store where it doesn’t really look like we bought much “food”, but this week it’s all food and no filler so I’m really happy with getting out of the store for around $20!  We didn’t buy a lot last month because we were participating in the Boost Your Budget Pantry Challenge, but it went so well and we have so much left on hand that we’re extending the challenge into February.  Today I bought $77.41 worth of groceries for $20.77, or 73% off after coupons and $12 RR.  Here are the deals:

  1. You said RR at Publix? Does you Publix have Register Rewards?

  2. Hey Saundra! Because Register Rewards from Walgreens are manufacturer’s coupons, my Publix takes them as if they’re cash since they are good for $X off your next purchase. Many Publix stores take them but the rules differ from store to store so I’d recommend checking at the customer service desk next time you’re there to see if your store takes them too.

  3. Great haul!!!

  4. I have a question about the tgi friday target coupon i have one for $5/2 will that one work?

  5. Also, Thank you very much for your site i check it every week to see the good deals you get you are very helpful!! some prices are lower for you as i am in FL but it still helps again THANK YOU!!!!

  6. Wow Jana – that’s an awesome coupon!! Yes, your coupon will work, however depending on the store and the cashier they MAY mark the coupon down to $3.99 for you, or whatever the price is for one at your store. Either way you get the product for free (WIN!) but it would be an awesome money maker if they take the q for full face value. The store will be reimbursed for the face value whether they mark it down or not so my local stores would typically give you face value, but keep in mind that its a YMMV deal. (ymmv = your manager may vary)
