For the Labor Day holiday I took the kids to downtown Pensacola and we went on a walking tour of over a dozen historical locations on the national register. As a single mom of five young kids, these kinds of outings are SO much easier when my mom can come along with us and help out with logistics, bag carrying and kid corralling. Plus, I think it’s so neat to be able to bring her along and make these memories together as a family.
While the weather was pretty great for our walking tour it was on the warm side and of course its always very humid here in Florida at this time of year so we came prepared with a cooler full of bottled water, a list of all the sites we wanted to visit, and a map. My mother also came prepared with her Depend Silhouette briefs so she could be comfortable and confident that her occasional issues with bladder leakage wouldn’t affect our day out. The kids were thrilled to have their mamaw in the pictures with them, like this one above in Lee Square, and she totally enjoyed getting to experience all these great places with me and the kids! You can search the Historical Marker Database to find markers in your area and plan a trip of your own.
I’m so glad that my mother doesn’t let bladder leakage stop her from doing the things she loves and that Depend® briefs help her to stay active! Nearly 65 million Americans experience bladder leakage in one form or another, but bladder leakage doesn’t have to get in the way of living a confident, uninterrupted life.
