My carpal tunnel syndrome has been acting up lately and I can’t find the brace that I usually wear so I stopped in today to pick up a new wrist brace and grab some free Zyrtec in time for allergy season. There are several great Register Reward deals at Walgreens this week but I haven’t been able to locate anything on my list at any of the stores I’ve been to, so I just ended up with some clearance deals instead. I wear a lot of skirts in the spring and summer and was happy to grab five pair of panty hose for just $5 on the clearance aisle. I bought $16.97 worth of goodies for $5, or 71% off.

I also found this notice posted at one of the stores I visited saying that the Planters Nutrition peanut butter had some shipping issues and since they don’t expect it to be in stock until at least 4/28 they’re planning to extend the $2.99 sale price and Register Reward deal through May 4th so keep checking back at your store if you were wanting some.

I didn’t get much at Walgreens today, but the kids really like this turkey bacon and I ended up paying for the trip with my balance rewards so it’s almost like I got it all for free. If I’d had one more coupon for the Werther’s I wouldn’t have used the balance rewards so that I could earn some for the purchase, but I’m fine with it this way. Before I started couponing I would have never considered buying groceries at the drugstore, but I have since learned that they often use food items as loss leaders to get people in the store to buy other, more profitable items.

Although these aren’t my best numbers ever, I was able to get great deals on some things that I really love this week so I’m happy.  The Got2B Fat-Tastic mousse is my absolute favorite and it rarely goes on sale so I was glad to grab a couple at $2.50 each and I’m thinking I may have to go back this week and do that deal again if I can find some more in stock somewhere.
