Awhile back I told you guys about my problem with Bruxism that causes my teeth to be very sensitive. I grind my teeth while I’m sleeping, it’s worse when I’m under stress, and I worry about what I’m doing to the enamel on my teeth. I take measures to try and keep from grinding and creating further damage, like wearing a mouth guard while sleeping, and I was thrilled to learn about the new Colgate Enamel Health toothpaste. It comes in both Whitening and Sensitivity Relief and I was anxious to see if it would help with my tooth sensitivity.

Colgate Enamel Health

I started using Colgate Enamel Health Sensitivity Relief just under two weeks ago and my first impression was that the toothpaste was smooth, felt great on my teeth like it was polishing them, and had a nice low-key mint flavor. When I first started using it I was hyper aware of my tooth sensitivity, it was even uncomfortable to breathe through my mouth while taking my daily walks in the cold air.

After using the toothpaste for a couple weeks I’m ecstatic to report that the new Colgate Enamel Health Sensitivity Relief has definitely decreased my tooth sensitivity. I went for two one mile walks in the cold air today and happily chatted the whole way with a co-worker without noticing any tooth sensitivity at all. I’ve also noticed that there is less sensitivity when drinking cold drinks and eating hot food.

When I told my mom about it she wanted to try the Colgate Enamel Health Whitening variety so I got her a tube when I got mine. She’s a little paranoid that her teeth are on the yellow side. She drinks a lot of tea and coffee as well as soft drinks and she worries too about how that affects her tooth enamel. She’s been using hers for a couple weeks now also and she reports that she’s very pleased as she has noticed some whitening. She believes that the whitening trend will continue as she keeps using the toothpaste so she’s planning to do just that!

Colgate Enamel Health

A few years ago I was experiencing aches and pains in my head and mouth that would travel from one side of my face to the other. It turns out that I had developed Bruxism, where I would grind my teeth while I slept and it was causing all sorts of pain and sensitivity. The dentist told me to sleep with a mouth guard and between that and reducing my stress level I don’t have those phantom pains anymore.

I’m so happy to have found a solution to my issue but it has left me with sensitive teeth and a concern about how much the grinding has affected my tooth enamel. Sadly, your body does not produce more tooth enamel once it is destroyed and I worry that my sensitivity to hot foods and liquids will only get worse with time.

Colgate Enamel Health

When I heard about the new Colgate Enamel Health toothpaste and how it can help strengthen your tooth enamel I had to give it a try. I was thrilled that its available in a sensitivity relief formula and my mother really wanted to try the Enamel Health Whitening so I bought us each a tube to try out. We both agreed that the toothpaste tastes great and we both remarked that it leaves our teeth feeling great, like they’ve been polished. I will report back in a few weeks and let you know if we’ve noticed any change in my sensitivity and her whitening.

This Saturday, November 15, 2014, Walgreens will host a Saturdate® event featuring the new Colgate® Enamel Health™ Toothpaste, including complimentary samples and an employee to educate shoppers about the new product. I love when Walgreens hase these Saturdate® events for different products and I highly recommend that you hit the one this weekend if you’re out and about so you can try out Colgate Enamel Health.
