Power Up Your Morning With a Good Breakfast & Giveaway

Power Up Your Morning Routine

Our mornings are so busy, especially on week days, since I’ve got to supervise five kids getting ready for school while also getting myself ready for work. I drop the kids off at the bus stop in the morning then go straight from there to the office so we all have to be dressed, fed and ready to walk out the door at the same time.

I’m Taking the #YogaPantChallenge with Depend® Active Fit

I'm Taking the #YogaPantChallenge with Depend

My ex mother-in-law had a real problem with bladder incontinence but she was too embarrassed to buy her own incontinence products so I would buy pads and briefs for her. I have no idea if she’s gotten over the embarrassment or who might be buying them for her now, but when I had a conversation about this with my mother I learned that she was having some similar incontinence issues occasionally and she was using pads only instead of briefs because she was afraid they’d give her a “diaper” appearance and people would be able to tell she was wearing them.

The doctor has told me that after having five children and a radical hysterectomy he’s quite sure I’ll have bladder incontinence issues myself and thankfully I’m fine with buying them, especially when they come in such a pretty box like these Depend® Silhouette® Active Fit briefs, but I certainly don’t want people to think I’m wearing diapers so I’m taking the #yogapantchallenge and I’d love to see if you can tell whether I’m wearing them!

I'm Taking the #YogaPantChallenge with Depend

When I stopped by Walmart to pick up a box of Depend® Silhouette® Active Fit briefs I noticed that the gentleman behind me in line was buying a bottle of libido vitamins and a couple cat scratchers and realized that none of us should be embarrassed about our purchases, but I’m dying to know what you think about my bum in these yoga pants! I’m wearing the incontinence briefs in one of the pictures above and my regular underwear in the other picture – click the picture if you’d like a larger view, and then tell me whether you think I’m wearing the Depend® briefs in the left or right picture. Leave a comment below with your answer and be sure to enter the giveaway for a chance to win one of FORTY Walmart Activewear gifts. I’ll come back and post the answer after I get a few votes!

#SpreadCheer with Sugar Surprise Cookies & PayPal Cash Giveaway

Sugar Surprise Cookies

These Sugar Surprise Cookies are one of my all time favorite cookies to make and to share. Each cookie has an Andes mint hidden inside and while they’re baking the flavor of the mint infuses throughout the entire cookie for a wonderful taste sensation. You don’t even have to ice these cookies but the kids were so thrilled to make these for our neighbors and insisted on the icing and sprinkles.

spreadcheer1

We are so fortunate to have many wonderful neighbors! Some of our neighbors have taken the kids out fishing on their boat, another gentleman insists on taking our garbage cans to the street on trash day during his daily walk, and we have neighbors who have helped with repairs and given us hand me down toys. I’m sure that we don’t tell them often enough how much we appreciate them so what better time than during the holiday season to help spread some cheer! We used these adorable free printable gift tags from Betty Crocker to decorate our goody bags then the kids had a blast delivering them to our neighbors.  While you’re at the Betty Crocker Spread Cheer page be sure to check out all the other free printables, coloring pages and grab some coupons.

Sausage Crescent Cheese Balls & PayPal Cash Giveaway

Sausage Crescent Cheese Balls

Last fall I made sausage cheese balls for our office holiday luncheon and they turned out very dry. By the time I got them to the office they seemed like little hockey pucks and I was pretty disappointed. I haven’t made any since then but I saw this Pillsbury recipe for Sausage Crescent Cheese Balls and figured I’d give them a try.

Sausage Crescent Cheese Balls

With just a few simple ingredients they were pretty easy to throw together. Instead of calling for flour like my previous unsuccessful attempt, these sausage cheese balls use crescent rolls and boy did they make a HUGE difference. I was very impressed with how moist and delicious these sausage crescent cheese balls turned out and I’m looking forward to making them again during the holidays for some quick and tasty appetizers.

Sausage Crescent Cheese Balls

At first I wasn’t sure how to incorporate the crescent roll dough into the classic sausage cheese ball recipe, but the instructions at the Pillsbury recipe page showed how easy it was to do. Just cut the dough into small squares with a pizza cutter and fold them into the sausage and cheese mixture. They add a great flavor and help keep the balls super moist.

You’ll find lots of great sales at Winn Dixie on Pillsbury Refrigerated Baked Goods products during this holiday baking season and there’s even a $1/3 Pillsbury Refrigerated Baked Goods products coupon that you can print for more savings!

Remix Your Coffee with Folgers Flavors and a Giveaway!

Disclosure – “I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Folgers. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for my participation.”

Remix Your Coffee and Wake Up to Flavor with Folgers Flavors

I’m sure we all have our own special morning routine that helps us get ready to tackle the day. My mornings are insanely busy with five kids to get ready and off to school while getting myself ready for work. Those crazy mornings require something stronger than pancakes or a bowl of cereal but I sure don’t have the time to do anything fancy. That first sip of morning coffee, you know the one that brings you back to life, usually happens on the run around here.

Remix Your Coffee and Wake Up to Flavor with Folgers Flavors

For that reason I was really happy to hear about the new Folgers Flavors, they help you customize your coffee any way you like it, and they do it fast and conveniently!  With Folgers Flavors you can remix your coffee on the go – they come in portable squeeze containers that don’t have to be refrigerated and they’re available in four great flavors – hazelnut, vanilla, mocha and caramel. My favorite is the hazelnut but my dad really likes the mocha so he already stole that one from me.

This Mike Tompkins video could also help get you going in the morning with the catchy tune, a remix of the iconic Folgers jingle, but the best part is when he shows you how easy it to use Folgers Flavors to mix up your favorite flavored coffee. What they don’t show you is how easy it is to throw your favorite flavor in your purse and take it with you to work or on the road so you can mix up great coffee flavors wherever you are.

I’m very excited to be able to giveaway some Folgers Flavors to one lucky reader. To enter to win just do any or all of the things listed in the Rafflecopter widget below. This giveaway will end at midnight on Tuesday, November 10th.

Chicken & Avocado Taco Salad Boats and PayPal Cash Giveaway

taco_salad_boat2

With five young kids it’s often difficult to please everybody at the same time when it comes to dinner, but we all agree on tacos! They’re so easy to prepare and the kids enjoy them so much that we have taco night a couple times a month. This week I decided to do something a little different and put a spin on our usual taco night with these delicious Chicken & Avocado Taco Salad Boats and I’m thrilled to report that the kids all ate them up as well. It’s so nice to find a meal that is healthy, tasty and that everyone will eat!

Although it may look difficult it’s actually pretty easy to work with avocados. First take a sharp knife and slice all the way around the avocado, split it open and remove the pit. Next you can either go ahead and cut it into slices inside the skin, being careful not to pierce the outer skin, then use a spoon to separate the meaty part from the skin, or use the spoon and separate it first then cut into slices after removing the skin.

Do You Work Hard to Hide Your Rosacea Like I Do? Win a Prosacea® Care Package

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Prosacea for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Prosacea Before

I’ve had redness on my cheeks since high school and years ago when my dermatologist diagnosed it as Rosacea he told me that I’d have to get laser treatments to get rid of the redness. Unfortunately my insurance wouldn’t cover laser treatments so I learned over the years how to conceal the redness with makeup and always do anything I can to keep it from getting worse, like using sunscreen daily and wearing large sunglasses that cover my cheeks.

Prosacea

Recently I had the opportunity to try Prosacea Medicated Rosacea Gel – it is dermatologist recommended to treat and control rosacea symptoms like redness, irritation and bumps. Since I suffer from all of those things I was very happy to give it a try. The gel is light and goes on very smoothly so I’ve been wearing it under my makeup and then putting it on again before bed after I take my makeup off for a couple of weeks.

Prosacea After,

Although I can still tell where the redness is on my cheeks the Prosacea Medicated Rosacea Gel has really calmed it down and I don’t think that most people could even notice it anymore. I’m excited that the gel has also reduced the bumps that I tend to get in that area.

If you also have issues with rosacea then I’d highly recommend giving Prosacea a try so you can heal rather than conceal your redness and bumps. Like with everything in your medicine cabinet, please make sure to read and follow all label instructions before using.

Leave a comment below telling us how you deal with or care for your rosacea and one lucky reader will win a Prosacea® care package!!
