Easy Pizza Calzones Recipe

Have a family to feed but you’re short on time? That sounds like most every day to me but the kids always love when I make these Easy Pizza Calzones and I’m thrilled that they only take about ten minutes to throw together and they’re cooked and on the table in less than 30 minutes!

Easy Pizza Calzones Recipe

You probably already have most of these ingredients in your pantry and freezer. I do like to keep a refrigerated pizza crust on hand for quick meals like this one and I always have spaghetti sauce and hamburger handy. Of course you could mix this recipe up and use sausage or pepperoni instead. I’ve even done broccoli and ham before with mozzarella cheese and the sauce on the side and it was so delicious that it’s now in the rotation too!

Easy Pizza Calzones Recipe

First unroll your refrigerated pizza crust and divide evenly into four pieces. Next spoon ground beef onto the middle of each slice of pizza crust dough, leaving room for other ingredients so that you can roll the crust when done.

Spoon spaghetti sauce over the beef and cheese and sprinkle with oregano and Parmesan cheese. Carefully pull the sides of the pizza crust dough up and over the ingredients and pinch the ends together to close up the calzone. Brush melted butter over the top of each calzone and place in the oven.
