Review: Why Do I Need Google Chromecast Audio?

I was under the impression that the main purpose of Google Chromecast Audio is to bring our old speakers into the 21st Century by allowing us to stream music to them from our smart phones, laptops and tablets, all you need is an Aux input on ANY speaker. While this is indeed a wonderful thing, I already had a couple of Bluetooth speakers that I could stream music to from my phone so my problem was a little different.

15 Awesome Easter Basket Filler Ideas

Easter Basket Filler Ideas

My kids are always so excited to get their baskets on Easter Sunday and I hate to just fill them up with candy so I like to mix it up a little and get each kid a few small surprises to go in their baskets in addition to their sweet treats! I love to throw in a few activity items like sidewalk chalk and Mad Libs to keep the kids busy and perhaps a couple of small toys. Of course the Easter Bunny always gets all the credit but I get to see the joy on their faces when they dig into their goodies. Here are a few awesome Easter basket filler ideas:

LinkSys Router

My cube mate at work is a hard core gamer and comes from a family of gamers. When I told him I was getting a Linksys 3200 router to replace my old one he got really jealous, said he has a Linksys 1900 and thought it was awesome until he heard about mine. I figured that was high praise so I was anxious to set it up right away.

Build Your Own Giant Wood Stacking Block Game

Two of my five kids and I suffer from both seasonal allergies and sensitive skin so it can sometimes be hard to get the kids away from their screens and outside to play. I’m constantly trying to encourage outdoor activities so I love coming up with new and exciting things for them to do outside. Last weekend the kids and I worked together to build our own giant wood stacking block game, similar to Jenga but on a much larger scale and we had so much fun that they’re already planning their next “tournament”.

Engineering Fun with Hexbug Vex Robotic Arm

When my now ten year old quadruplets were born it was so difficult to tell them apart that we used a marker to put dots on the bottom of their feet so we wouldn’t have to take off their diapers just to narrow down which were the girls and which were the boys. Since the two boys are identical it was still hard to tell which was which even after we could tell the girls from the boys. Fast forward to today and I’m constantly amazed at just how different they all are, they have widely varying interests and tastes in everything from food to clothes. Since they were very small they’ve talked about what they want to do when they get older – one of the boys (above) wants to be an engineer, the other wants to be a scientist and work for NASA, one of my daughters wants to be a veterinarian and the other is thinking teacher.
