I’m more than a little nervous, but I’ve decided to participate in a weekly vlog prompt with some blogging friends and I plan to bring you a new video every week on Friday. I hope you’ll bear with me as I try to figure out this vlogging thing, and I aim to get better at it each week. This week’s topic is to tell you about our favorite restaurant and dish there.
Back when I was in college, so like 100 years ago, I dated this guy who owned an Indian restaurant called The Oven. I became addicted to the food – the guy turned out to be a jerk, but I got a love of Indian food out of the deal.
The problem is that since I moved back home the nearest Indian food restaurant has been about an hour drive away. Now there’s an Indian place in downtown Pensacola and I’m really dying to try it, but they’re only open for lunch so I’m trying to figure out a way to make that happen. I’m planning to give it a try and promise to report back!
What is your favorite restaurant and dish? I would love to hear all about it!

That’s the worst part of moving … leaving behind your favorite local restaurants. I’ve never actually had Indian food myself.

Hi Denise!!!! I like Indian food a lot too. I don’t get it too often but I love some of it.

I LOVE Indian food! Ethinic food is, by far, my favorite. There is a mashed eggplant dish at an Indian restaurant in Orlando that is amazing. I forget what it’s called, though.

Thanks Maryann! I’m betting that you still get it more often than me, and I’m jealous

Yum – whatever it’s called the mashed eggplant dish sounds delicious! I’m a big fan of samosas, the vegetable turnovers that have peas and potatoes in them

Bummer on having to leave, one thing i miss about Arkansas (even though I am back in my hometown and happy in Florida LOL) is one of the mexican restaurants there. It was the best ever. Maybe we can go to this Indian place together
I have never had it and of course I am local. Thanks so much for joining in and I can’t wait to see you next week
