My 2/8 Publix Trip – $127.91 for $24.21 or 81% Off

Well the dog really racked up this week!  Our puppy is getting so big, so fast, and we’ve been using these Beggin’ Strips (cut in half) to help train her so I was very happy to see them on BOGO this week, and the dog food was a fabulous deal also so I stocked up on that too.  Of course there is also plenty of stuff here for the kids, including lots of school snacks.  I’m afraid the cinnamon rolls are mine though, all mine, so I’ve already hidden them ;)  Today I bought $127.91 worth of groceries for $24.21, or 81% off after coupons, $5/$55 Winn Dixie Catalina, and $20 RR.  Here are the deals:

  1. i am so over these coupons from miami newspapers they never have the good coupons i can really use the dog food and i dont have them in my red plum…i hate miami herald

  2. You said you used a $20 re at Publix? How did that work? Did it just take $20 off the total? I didn’t know Publix does that! :D (added by Mobile using Mippin)

  3. Since Walgreens Register Rewards are manufacturer’s coupons (not store coupons) good for $X off your next purchase, my Publix will let you use them as if they’re cash. The rules vary from store to store so check at the customer service desk. Some stores will only take one at a time, some will take as many as you have, others will only take one from each manufacturer per transaction. I’m SUPER happy that my store takes them :)

  4. My store takes Register Rewards, too! At first I was told I could use it, but they’d check to make sure it’s really okay, the next week I was told “just this time” by one person and “we accept ANY manufacturer’s coupon” by someone else. I’ve been using them since. It is so nice to get the freebies at Wags and not worry about having to roll them on something I don’t really want. I’d been kind of down about my Publix since they stopped accepting Target, but this almost makes up for it.

  5. Oh hot diggity! I’m SO glad that your store takes them too :) Makes a huge difference in the final bill!
