My 12/26 Walgreens Trip – $142.86 for $31.58 or 78% Off

I’m super excited about participating in the Boost Your Budget Pantry Challenge next month and I figure I won’t be buying any ‘extras’ in January so I splurged a little today on the Sally Hansen nail products.  The two packages of nail polish strips were on clearance for $2.59 each, and they still rang up as B1G1 50% off.  Since I’m also getting ready to do a clean up and out of my stockpile and get a bunch of stuff ready to donate I went ahead and did the Delica deal one more time before the month is over and I’ll be donating it as well.  I also had some $1.50/2 Skinny Cow coupons that are expiring this week so I used them with a 2/$5 raincheck I had.  Today I bought $142.86 worth of goodies for $31.58, or 78% off.  Here are the deals:

  1. How are you able to use the two coupons on the one touch? I’ve been to two different stores and they will not let me combine the two. I add additional items to eat up the difference, but still they will not let me use both.

  2. I’ve done this deal a couple of times and haven’t had any problems, but I’ve heard that it’s only working about 50% of the time for other people. Since one is a store coupon and one is a manufacturer’s coupon it SHOULD work just fine, but I think that some stores have a problem with it just because of the amount of overage. I think the trick for me has been that I’ve bought a bunch of other stuff at the same time so it kinda gets lost in the mix. You might try that! I sure hope it works out for you 🙂

  3. Thanks I think I have two more manufacture coupons, so I will try again. I know a lot of diabetics so they can use these, but I would love to have the overage to use for some things I need.

  4. it worked for me at one store, but clerk told me she only let me do it because i had a lot of items and when i went to another store to use it they wouldn’t let me combine it with the walgreens coupon i had gift cards for the overage but they wouldn’t let me do it.
