My 8/10 Publix Trip – $86.69 for $18.01 or 79% Off

Because I typically buy meat in bulk once a month my weekly shopping trips often make it look like we live off of cereal and pop tarts.  That simply isn’t true, but I LOVE when I’m able to point out trips like this one that include several entrees, dairy products, and produce!  It’s always nice too when the $10/$50 gas card wyb $25 worth of groceries deal comes around.  I like to think of it as getting 20% off a tank of gas, but of course I always deduct the $10 savings from my grocery bill because I had to buy the groceries to get the deal.  Today I bought $86.69 worth of groceries for $18.01, or 79% off after coupons and $15 RR.  Here are the deals:

  1. OMG!! This is a crazy haul!!! Once again…so jealous of the Publix!!!

  2. Love to shop there, love to save there! 🙂 Of course I also drive 40 minutes to get there, but trips like this do make it worth the drive!

  3. What were the three $5 off coupons? I don’t see them listed in your scenario… Thanks!

  4. Awesome job, as always! 🙂
I wish my PUBLIX took RR’s!
Just wanted to let you know that the Welch’s coupon is now live on Facebook to the first 1,000 fans! 😉

  5. You should try the Barber Foods Lobster & Scallop flavor! Its so delicious! You did a great job!

  6. Also, you used your RR at the Publix on E Nine Mile rd, right? I might start using the few I get every month instead of just continuously rolling them.

  7. I just called the Publix on E Nine Mile rd and they read the coupon policy over the phone and told me the competitors and they do not take Walgreens or CVS any more. I would ask customer service before checking out.

  8. Although they don’t accept Walgreens or CVS store coupons, they DO accept Walgreens Register Rewards because they are manufacturer’s coupons not store qs. However, I will also say that since the coupon policy change in July I have still run into a couple of cashiers that have taken my RR to the manager to get approved – just a heads up!

  9. I didn’t even see that flavor, I absolutely will look for it and try it next time! Thanks for the tip 🙂

  10. Darn – I missed the Welch’s again. I’ll try again next week 🙂 Hope you got yours!

  11. Hey Wendy! Those three $5 qs were my $15 Register Rewards from Walgreens 🙂

  12. Great job! Can you please tell me where you buy meat in bulk?

  13. You bet – my three fave places to buy meat in bulk are Sam’s Club, Winn Dixie (their BOGO meat sales are awesome), and Zaycon Foods (http://zayconfoods.com). We buy a lot of meat once a month and freeze it in meal sized packages, typically beef one month then chicken the next.
