My 6/8 Publix Trip – $85.15 for $8.87 or 90% Off

We don't normally like to buy “juice drinks” as we prefer to get 100% fruit juice instead, but it's already so hot outside that we're going through ALL drink products at an alarming rate so I went ahead and grabbed a few of the Tampico drinks while they're half price.  I was so happy last week when I spotted the new Edy's Shakes in the ice cream freezer, then absolutely thrilled when I got a couple coupons for free shakes in the mail this week so I picked those up today and can't wait to have mine this evening!  I got to try the chocolate shake and the mixed berry smoothie varieties at the Mom 2.0 Summit a couple months ago and they were FABULOUS!  When you take the top off you'll see the ice cream surrounding the outer edges of the cup which leaves the center open to pour in some milk.  Then you just stir it up with a spoon and you're ready to go!  I highly recommend trying them if you get a chance, and of course I'll keep you informed when I find them on sale!  Today I bought $85.15 worth of groceries for $8.87, or 90% off after using $23 RR to pay.  Here are the deals:

  1. I got the same Smart Balance spread as well! I was so happy to finally use those coupons, too.

I was wondering if you still coupon at Target? I’m getting back into it because of the great John Frieda deal this week but I’m not entirely sure if the one on 9 Mile Rd will let you stack a Manufacturer and a Target coupon. Which one do you normally shop at?

  2. Yes – the Publix on Nine Mile closest to Target DOES let you stack the Target coupons and is (in my opinion) the most coupon friendly store in P’cola. The one on West Nine Mile is a good store but doesn’t take Target, and the one on Mobile Highway is the least coupon friendly in my experience (and does not take Target qs). Hope this helps!

    WHAT??? More Klondike? 😉

  4. Must you out me as being addicted Lynette? I just can’t seem to help myself, I walk down the freezer aisle and they fall into my cart! Even though I hide them from the kids, I DO share them with hubby, you know – when he’s good.

  5. Lynette says:

I’m just teasing you, Denise! We all have our things….mine is Breyer’s ice cream!! With the last sale I currently have 8 in my freezer!! 😉

I’m surprised you didn’t get any peanut butter. With the manufacturer’s q’s and the ones in the Publix Summer Storm, it comes out REALLY cheap!!

  6. Girl, I can take it! Just messing with you right back 🙂 Unfortunately I had to switch from Breyer’s to the Klondikes for portion control – it’s hubby’s job to dish ice cream so we just get 2 bowls each from a carton (VERY bad for my waistline!).

I really wanted the peanut butter but I can’t get my hands on any of the coupons, including the Publix ones 🙁 Just couldn’t force myself to buy any without qs!

  7. Lynette says:

I too had problems printing the peanut butter q from the End Child Hunger website. I read in iheartpublix.com that it was working so my DH offered to help while I was cooking dinner, and sure enough, it worked for him. Also, these don’t have the usual 2 per computer limit. It let him print 8 per computer!! Now to get my hands on some of those booklets!! 😉

  8. Lynette says:

Also, have you tried the Tampico juices yet? If so, how are they? I am very temted to buy them at that price when I go shopping this weekend because we, too, are running out of the good stuff way too quickly! 🙂

  9. Yes – the kids are loving the Tampico juices (of course the girls especially like the pink one). They remind me of Sunny D and you can’t even get water for 99 cents a gallon so I may have to get some more while they’re on sale.

  10. Lynette says:

Awesome! My girls love Sunny D. I will stay away from the pink/red one though because my youngest daughter is allergic to red dye!
thanks again for the wonderful posts you bring us week after week! 🙂

  11. Jessica F says:

You paid with RR’s? Isn’t that against the new coupon policy? Just curious. I thought they wouldn’t take those anymore.

  12. With the new coupon policy they will not take Walgreens coupons any more, but they DO still take the register rewards because they are manufacturer coupons. Before the change in policy my store would only take one RR per transaction, now they’ll take as many as you have 🙂
