My 5/4 Publix Trip – $99.63 for $5.24 or 95% Off

Well we’ve taken care of our snack cravings for the week (or longer), and the cats are good to go 😉 but I should point out that I’m planning a trip to Sam’s Club on Friday to buy a month’s worth of meat and produce so we can do some freezer cooking this weekend.  I’ll wait and get milk and eggs there as well since we have plenty to last until then.  I had two extra $5/$30 Publix coupons from last Wednesday’s paper given to me so I made hubby go with me today and we each used one, plus we both used a $10/$50 gas card coupon.  We bought $99.63 worth of groceries for $5.24, or 95% off.  Here are the deals:

Hey Denise! Great job, as always! 😉
I am noticing that you can never pass up a Klondike deal, can you?
Thank you for all your hard work! 🙂

You did good I always look forward to going to your site on Wed to get ideas for my trip. What exactly is the Emeril cans and where exactly in the store are they located my hubby loves Emeril. Thanks so much for all you do. I live in Alabama and was so blessed to be able to send several boxes of free items to the tornado victims. If it wasn’t for sites like yours I wouldn’t have been able to do that Thanks!!

  3. Thanks Melissa – that makes my day! I’m so happy you’re able to help out in that way. We’re stocking a semi-truck at the kids’ school this week and it feels great to be able to give so much! The Emeril’s cans that I bought are in the canned pasta aisle, I found these on a lower shelf near the Chef Boyardee stuff. I think there are like five different varieties but the ones I remember are meatballs & O’s, spaghetti & meatballs and macaroni & beef.

  4. Ha – you found me out! It’s my two weaknesses, chocolate and ice cream, all together in one neat little package. Plus I have a real problem at home! Hubby likes to dish the ice cream but we have these super size bowls and he can’t stop until they’re full. This is how I sneak in some portion control 😉

I also bought the BAM ravioli and it was not good at all! My kids eat a lot of ravioli, this is definately a donation iteam. I was very disappointed because it came from Emeril I thought it would be flavorfull. It was not! I will never get this product again.

  6. Okay stupid question…you did end up spending $40 on the gas card right? I really need it this week, but i am so broke this week! urggghhh

  7. That is so not a stupid question, I just realized I didn’t make it very clear 🙂 Yes – hubby and I both checked out so we both used a $10/$50 q to buy a $50 gas card. That essentially gets you 20% off gas which is a fabulous deal (especially right now!) BUT I deducted the $10 savings from my groceries when calculating the #s for this post since it was buying the groceries that resulted in the savings. Now – is that clear as mud? Please let me know if I can help in any way!

  8. Have you ever tried tidy cats small spaces… Harder to find on sale but works wonderfully

  9. I have never noticed the “small spaces” variety but I am definitely going to look for it! We have two cats and their box is in the laundry room (a pretty small space) so that sounds perfect – THANKS for the tip!
