For some reason I’ve been having major issues with my sinuses this year and it’s horrible how simply being stopped up and congested can affect my entire day. Everything seems to happen in slow motion, I only get the basics on my ‘to-do’ list done, and my sinuses zap the enjoyment out of everything!
Usually more the “suffer in silence” type I don’t tend to go for the medication first, although I know I really shouldn’t put it off until I’m miserable. I have to admit though that over the past couple of months I’ve been trying pretty much everything I could find to get some relief, so I jumped at the chance to try a free sample of Advil Congestion Relief in return for giving my thoughts about the product.
I received two pills to try and one of them had been crushed in the mail, but they also sent me some $3 off coupons so I bought my own package to really try them out. The problem with using all of the cold and cough medicines that I had in the stockpile is that sinus problems aren’t just caused by the wonderful mucus that you get to deal with, but also from nasal inflammation and swelling – which those medicines didn’t really treat.
I’d been using a product that I had to show my driver’s license to buy at the pharmacy and each dose was supposed to last 12 hours, but really only lasted about 6 for me and I was scared of taking too much. The dosage for the Advil Congestion Relief is one tablet every four hours so I’m taking them more often, but they’re actually lasting that whole period of time so I feel better for longer AND I can buy them off the shelf without any hassle.
