My 7/12 CVS Trip – $102.82 for $17.01 or 83% Off

Well CVS has been rockin’ on the paper goods here lately – I had planned to get the B1G1 Cottonelle but they were smack out when I got there this morning.  I did the rest of my shopping and asked about it at checkout thinking I’d get a raincheck but the cashier told me they were substituting the Quilted Northern instead.  I said “shoot, I brought my coupons for the Cottonelle” and she said “no problem, I’ll take those for you” 😉  Yay CVS!  So I ended up with $102.82 in products for $17.01, or 83% off after earning $7.98 ECBs and deducting the Neutrogena MIR.  If you deduct the $11 ECBs from last week that I used to pay I’m only out $6.01 and got 94% off!  Here are the deals:

Note:  Our dryer hasn’t been drying very well lately and if you leave dry clothes in there for very long after they’re done, they get damp all over again.  We make sure to clean out the lint trap between each load so I wasn’t sure what was going on – but then I got on my hands and knees yesterday and looked around in there and saw that there is a TON of lint inside there that isn’t making it as far as the trap because it’s so clogged.  The lint brush pictured wasn’t on my list for today but it seemed to be calling my name when I saw it and five bucks is a steal compared to the alternative 😉

  1. What a nice cashier! That’s why I love CVS.

  2. Always love seeing your savings and love your tips on saving money. After seeing your dryer vent tool this week, I was reminded once again that I NEED this. Of course, it should have never been the price that put this purchase off, and I don’t think it really was….but like you said when I saw it in my CVS for $5 – it was definitely calling my name! So glad I found it and have a little less worry about the everyday safety issues as well as efficiency of my dryer. Thanks again!

  3. Thanks so much Donna – that’s my compliment for the day! My dryer was really scary looking in there, an accident waiting to happen, and today I got the biggest power bill of the year. I know it’s mostly because the A/C has been running non-stop, but I’m betting the dryer issue didn’t help.
